Ernest M. Caponegro 55 is the CEO of I & E Insurance Agency and Financial Services of Point Pleasant NJ. I & E Insurance Agency is a NJ State Licensed Insurance Agency. Mr. Caponegro is a Licensed Insurance Broker and Registered Investment Advisor. He holds securities licenses: series: 4, 6,7,8,24,53,65,and 66. Additionally Ernest is a Registered Security Principal, a Registered Options Principal, and a MSRB Registered Principal. Mr. Caponegro holds Life and P&C Insurance licenses in NJ and several other states. Mr. Caponegro assists small business owners and investors aged 50+ in growing and preserving their capital, increasing their income, and organizing their assets through diversification and income planning techniques while providing the education and programs needed to address their final expenses.

Mr. Caponegro has assisted his financial Services clients to lower tax bills through strategies in the reductions of taxable income, the use of tax favored investment strategies, re-organizing social security benefits, the creation of tax-free and tax deferred assets, and restructuring Retirement plans.  Additionally, he has been able to lower their personal insurance costs in Business Home and Auto Insurance as well as update their coverage and explain recent insurance law changes.

To become a Certified Senior Advisor, he completed a 15-part program of study of the physical, financial, emotional and personal issues that affect the daily lives of seniors taught by the Society of Certified Senior Advisors, (SCSA). The SCSA is the Worlds largest member organization training professionals to serve the changing needs of a growing senior population. As the owner of I & E Insurance Agency, he brings 30 years of experience in the financial markets to seniors who need assistance with financial and insurance concerns. Mr. Caponegro Started on Wall Street in the fall of 1977 with EF Hutton in the Investment Banking Department. In addition to being a Stock & Insurance Broker, Money Manager, and Branch Manager for Shearson-Lehman and Pru-Bache, Mr. Caponegro was also a Managing Director at Emmanuel & Co, a small independent Wall Street Investment Banking Firm during the mid 1990s.

Mr. Caponegro was a candidate for State Congress in 1992, and 1994  and shared the Republican column with Jersey City Mayor Brett Schundler in 1994. He served as the treasurer for the Jersey City chapter of UNICCO from 1993-1998. Being an Ocean County property owner since 1986, Mr. Caponegro moved his family down in 1998 and opened his Point Pleasant office.  Securities trading is provided through the Wall NJ offices of Garden State Securities with securities clearing offered through RBC Clearing. He has coached several local Soccer and football teams and is an Boy Scout Leader with Troop 6 in Point Pleasant NJ Ocean County NJ. For the last 14 years Mr. Caponegro has been an Active member of the Board of Directors for the local Brick NJ Police Athletic League, which seeks to improve the lives of children.  Mr. Caponegro lives in Point Pleasant with his wife of 25 years, Ida, his partner also an Insurance broker, and their three boys Ernest 23, Matthew 19 and Luke 12.

Ida Caponegro, CSR, has been in the insurance business since the early 1980s and brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to I & E Insurance Agency. In 1982 She started at the Great New Yortk Insurance Company. Later on, She was a junior Underwriter at Saint Paul Insurance Company, gained experience at The Patricia Fleishman Agency in NYC and Gowan and Hanna, and before moving to Point Pleasant Ida was an assistant VP at Frank Crystal and Company.
